Iranian diplomat vows 'justice and blood vengeance' for Khamenei assassination

Iran's foreign ministry spokesman Esmaeil Baghaei vowed the regime would pursue vengeance for the assassination of former Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei in a press conference.

Seeking "justice and blood vengeance" is a public demand by the Iranian people and a clear duty of the Iranian government, Baghaei said. The comments come against the background of reports that the regime weighed trying to kill U.S. President Donald Trump in Turkey last week, and the renewed exchanges of fire between the sides.

Baghaei also vowed the regime would not implement the terms of the Memorandum of Understanding. "As long as the other side remains committed to its obligations, we will carry out ours... Wherever the other side violated its commitments, we also did not implement ours.”
