Iran urges power conservation after US strikes damage electricity infrastructure
Iran's Energy Ministry has called on residents in the country's southern provinces to reduce electricity consumption after U.S. strikes reportedly damaged power infrastructure in the Bandar Abbas area.
The ministry asked households to turn off their air conditioners for one hour during peak demand periods to help ensure a stable electricity supply. Summer temperatures in southern Iran can reach as high as 50°C (122°F).
