Iran says US talks made progress after 18-hour negotiating session
A new round of negotiations between the United States and Iran concluded overnight after approximately 18 hours of discussions.
Iranian Foreign Ministry spokespersons described the talks as productive, while Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi said that mediation efforts by Qatar and Pakistan had helped achieve “significant progress” toward ending the war in Lebanon.
Araghchi also outlined what he described as key outcomes of the talks, including the lifting of restrictions on the Strait of Hormuz, the release of frozen assets, and the launch of a reconstruction and development program for Iran.
