Iran launches attacks on US targets across Gulf region
Iran launched attacks against American targets across the Gulf overnight, while heavy damage was reported at Kuwait International Airport amid the escalation.
Iran’s Revolutionary Guards claimed that U.S. forces struck a communications tower on Qeshm Island in southern Iran and said they had retaliated by targeting a U.S. Air Force base and the headquarters of the U.S. Fifth Fleet in the region. The IRGC warned that any further aggression would be met with an even harsher response.
Meanwhile, U.S. Central Command said its air defense systems successfully intercepted another wave of Iranian drones aimed at American forces in Kuwait. According to the U.S. military, the attack failed to cause damage to personnel or military assets.
