Iran, Houthis launch missiles at Israel as IDF strikes targets in Iran
Iran and the Iran-backed Houthis launched missiles toward central and southern Israel, triggering sirens across wide areas of the country, including Jerusalem, Beersheba, and the Ben Gurion Airport area.
The IDF confirmed that the Israeli Air Force carried out strikes on Iranian military targets overnight and later targeted petrochemical facilities in the Mahshahr area of southwestern Iran. According to the military, several sites within the petrochemical complex were hit.
The latest missile barrage from Iran came after Israel said it struck military targets in western and central Iran in response to Iranian ballistic missile fire on northern Israel the previous night.
