Iran denies direct talks with US, vows no changes in Hormuz as long as US continues 'aggression'

Despite U.S. President Donald Trump's claim that negotiations with Iran would resume on Monday, Foreign Ministry spokesperson Esmail Baghaei said that "We are currently holding no talks with the United States.”

He acknowledged that "discussions are underway with the Sultanate of Oman regarding the Strait of Hormuz," noting that the two sides want to "establish a temporary, secure maritime corridor through the Strait of Hormuz.”

However, Baghaei stressed: “No changes will be made to the Strait of Hormuz as long as Washington continues its aggression and maritime blockade.”
