Iran announces Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei killed

Iranian authorities confirmed overnight (between Saturday and Sunday) that Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei has been killed, according to statements published in state media.

The announcement came hours after U.S. President Donald Trump declared that Khamenei had been eliminated in a strike in Iran.
