Indonesia sets Gaza limits: ‘Train police, deliver aid, not fight militants’
Indonesia’s Foreign Ministry said on Sunday that any forces deployed to the Gaza Strip would have a strictly humanitarian and training mandate, according to Kan News.
Jakarta said the personnel would train Palestinian police and support law-and-order functions, but not engage in combat or actions risking confrontation with armed groups.
The clarification follows recent reports of Indonesia’s potential role in a U.S.-backed post-war Gaza framework – a move that has sparked domestic debate.
