In Judea and Samaria, casualties from Jewish violence exceed Palestinian attacks in January

Israeli security data show that during January 2026, more people were injured in Jewish violence than in Palestinian attacks, Kan News reported Sunday.

Seven Jews were wounded by Palestinian violence, compared with 22 Palestinians injured by Jewish violence, including 11 arson attacks on Palestinian property. Palestinian attacks included two Molotov incidents and 126 stone-throwing cases.

Officials credited the drop in Palestinian attacks to security operations, but warned the trend could reverse amid rising incitement and weapons availability. In 2025, police arrested 5,854 suspects in Judea and Samaria and filed 4,063 indictments, a 21% year-over-year increase.
