IDF force is injured in terrorist ambush after arrest of wanted suspects
Israeli officers and soldiers were seriously wounded in an incident in southern Syria during an operation to arrest militants affiliated with the members of al-Jama’a al-Islamiyya organization, the IDF reported.
According to the military, the clash occurred in the village of Beit Jinn, where forces came under fire during the arrest mission.
Two additional soldiers were moderately and lightly injured.
The IDF stated that all suspects were apprehended and that several militants were killed during the exchange. The wounded troops were evacuated for medical treatment, and the incident remains under review.
