IDF strikes target Oct 7 terrorists amid criticism from Egypt, Turkey and Qatar
The IDF announced on Monday the elimination of Mahmoud Fatair, an Islamic Jihad Nukhba commander involved in holding former hostage Rom Braslavski captive, and Abdallah Adnan Taha Abu al-Tayf, a Hamas Nukhba commander.
Both men infiltrated Israeli territory during the attacks of Oct. 7, 2023.
The IDF said Fatair also took part in the handover ceremonies of several hostages, while Abu al-Tayf was actively involved in combat throughout the war.
The announcement of their eliminations, along with that of Hamas military wing commander Jalal Tsubeih, came as Egypt, Turkey and Qatar issued a statement accursing Israel of violating the Gaza ceasefire and warning that continued strikes could hinder progress.
Last Friday, U.S. President Donald Trump announced that an agreement had been reached to disarm Hamas in Gaza, a claim met with skepticism in Israel.
