IDF spokesman: 'If our enemies think this is the right time to attack, they are mistaken’
During his daily press briefing on Tuesday evening, IDF spokesman Brig.-Gen. Daniel Hagari addressed the violations of the ceasefire by Hamas in Gaza and the continued provocations by the Hezbollah terror group on Israel's northern border.
Hagari referred to Tuesday's violation of the truce in the northern Gaza Strip, following the detonation of three improvised explosive devices (IEDs) near IDF soldiers, saying: "If any of our enemies might think that this is an opportune time, they are mistaken. The security of our forces comes first.”
"We are very prepared, and any attempt to harm our forces will be met with very strong fire,” Hagari added.
When asked whether the ceasefire violation compromised the IDF readiness, he responded, “We are alert and ready…and preparing for the continuation of the war.”
