IDF soldier seriously wounded during operation in southern Lebanon
An IDF soldier was seriously wounded during an operational activity in the southern Lebanese town of Bint Jbeil, the military announced.
The incident occurred at around 6:00 p.m. on Thursday in an area within Israel's security zone, approximately 4.5 kilometers (2.8 miles) from the Israeli community of Avivim.
Following the incident, an IDF tank fired at nearby buildings as part of procedures to isolate the area and eliminate suspected militants.
