IDF reserve chief: Ministers must understand reserve forces are not unlimited
Brig. Gen. (Res.) Benny Ben Ari, Israel’s Chief Reserve Officer, warned that the country’s reserve force has limits and cannot be relied upon indefinitely.
Speaking to Kan News, Ben Ari said government ministers “must understand that the reserve system is not endless.” He added that Israel needs a larger military and emphasized that “we expect all of Israeli society to be part of this effort.”
His remarks come amid ongoing debates over military manpower and efforts to expand enlistment during an extended period of conflict.
