IDF reassures Israelis: Troops are on alert, prepared for any scenario regarding Iran

As he has done over the past several weekends, IDF Spokesman Brig.-Gen. Effie Defrin sent a message of reassurance to the Israeli public shortly before the start of the Sabbath, amid ongoing tensions with Iran.

“This week as well, we are aware of the sense of uncertainty and tension prevailing among the public in light of the regional developments,” Defrin said.

“Therefore, it was important for me to speak with you and to you. The IDF is closely monitoring the situation in Iran and is alert and prepared to defend you. We are operating in full coordination with our partners in order to strengthen our defense."

“IDF forces are on alert and prepared so that you can continue your routine in safety. I emphasize again—there is no change in the guidelines. If there is any change, I will be here, and we will provide an update accordingly. Shabbat Shalom to everyone,” Defrin concluded.

Israeli media outlets also reported that the IDF has strengthened its defense capabilities in several areas.
