IDF raid strips terror group of weapons depot in southern Syria
The IDF dismantled a weapons storage facility of the terror group Jamaa Islamiya in southern Syria last week, the military announced.
“Throughout the war, the Jamaa Islamiya terrorist organization advanced terror attacks against the State of Israel and its civilians in the north,” the statement said, emphasizing that the overnight operation was aimed at neutralizing threats to northern Israel.
According to the IDF, its forces located and dismantled guns, landmines, and communications equipment at the site in the village of Beit Jinn, southern Syria.
