IDF overhauls female surveillance unit after Oct. 7
Three years after the Oct. 7 failures, the IDF is introducing significant changes to its female surveillance unit, including new technology designed to help surveillance soldiers support troops in the field, Kan Reshet Bet reported Thursday.
The military plans to develop a more advanced version of the “See-Shoot” system and upgrade command centers and technological equipment.
Surveillance soldiers will also receive self-defense training and equipment, including firearms training, shooting range exercises and hand-to-hand combat instruction.
