IDF kills 2 Islamic Jihad terror commanders in Gaza strikes
The Israel Defense Force killed two terrorists from the Islamic Jihad terrorist organization in strikes in southern Gaza on Monday, the military stated.
One of the terrorists was the commander of a commando unit, while the other headed a terror cell and was responsible for several rocket fire attacks against Israel throughout the war, the IDF added.
"The two terrorists were planning to carry out imminent terror attacks against IDF troops and were eliminated in order to remove the threat. Prior to the strike, steps were taken to mitigate harm to civilians, including the use of precise munitions and aerial surveillance," the military said.
