IDF finds 15-lb bomb in girl’s school bag left behind by Hamas terrorists
Soldiers of the IDF’s elite ‘Yahalom’ sapper and pioneer unit found a 15-lb bomb hidden in a girl’s school bag during scans of the Gaza border area.
Yahalom has been searching the area for dangerous explosives and weapons that were left behind by Hamas terrorists after their deadly assault on Oct. 7.
Among their more unusual finds was a seemingly innocent pink backpack, which turned out to be armed with a 15-lb bomb rigged for remote activation.
Yahalom and other IDF units have found over 1,000 different types of weapons, around 2,000 grenades, 1,000 RPG rockets, and roughly 1,200 different types of explosive charges.
