IDF eliminates Hamas terrorists in Rafah airstrike after terrorists break ceasefire again

The IDF eliminated several armed Hamas terrorists in an airstrike in Rafah overnight, after the terror group broke the ceasefire on Thursday.

The incident came while IDF troops continued "to operate in the Rafah area to dismantle terrorist infrastructure above and underground and to eliminate the remaining terrorists in the area."

On Thursday, soldiers "identified several armed terrorists who emerged from the underground terror infrastructure in eastern Rafah. This incident constitutes a violation of the ceasefire agreement," the military noted. Soldiers on the ground and the Air Force attacked and killed several of the terrorists.

The following night, the IDF carried out a strike on "several armed Hamas terrorists in the Rafah area."

"The IDF views with severity any attempt by the terrorist organizations in the Gaza Strip to carry out terror attacks against IDF troops and the State of Israel," the military stated, adding that its troops "remain deployed in accordance with the ceasefire agreement and will continue to operate to remove any immediate threat."
