IDF eliminates Hamas commander who held hostages in Gaza tunnels
The IDF eliminated a Hamas commander who held hostages and recently advanced attacks against Israeli troops and civilians, the military announced on Thursday.
Ismail Mohammed Ibrahim Barim, a commander in Hamas’ military wing in the Khan Yunis area, held hostages Edan Alexander, Matan Zangauker and Avera Mengistu in a tunnel in southern Gaza, the IDF said.
It added that Barim had systematically violated the ceasefire by targeting IDF troops and Israeli civilians.
