IDF dismisses 2 soldiers for assaulting Palestinian near Ramallah
The IDF removed two Home Front Command soldiers from combat roles after they assaulted a Palestinian near Nabi Salih on Friday, the military announced.
Troops detained a suspect after reports of a gathering, but footage showed the soldiers striking the detainee behind a military vehicle. The soldiers were initially disciplined, and the punishment was later escalated to dismissal.
The IDF said the Military Police Criminal Investigation Division has opened a probe and that the Military Advocate General will review the findings.
