IDF confirms raid in southern Lebanon, arrests senior Islamist leader
The Israel Defense Forces confirmed that its troops raided a village in southern Lebanon overnight and arrested a senior operative in Jamaa Islamiya, the Lebanese branch of the Muslim Brotherhood, which is affiliated with Hamas.
Separately, the IDF said it killed a Hezbollah operative earlier on Tuesday in the village of Yanouh-Jatt in southern Lebanon. In another operation, the military reported that it eliminated four militants who emerged from a tunnel in eastern Rafah in the Gaza Strip.
