IDF condemns attempts to interfere with soldiers during draft evader enforcement in Modi’in
The IDF strongly condemned attempts to interfere with or harm soldiers after a crowd disrupted a Military Police operation against deserters and draft evaders in Modi’in on Monday night.
According to the IDF, a large number of people gathered in an organized effort to interfere with an arrest and disrupt the operation, endangering soldiers at the scene.
Israel Police officers were called in to restore order and disperse the gathering amid significant resistance to security forces.
“The IDF strongly condemns any attempt to interfere with or harm its soldiers while they are lawfully carrying out their duties,” the military said, adding that enforcement against deserters and draft evaders would continue in accordance with the law.
