IDF completes large-scale strike on Iranian air defense systems
The IDF announced that dozens of Israeli Air Force fighter jets carried out a large-scale operation targeting strategic air defense systems belonging to the Iranian regime. The strikes were directed by Israeli military intelligence and focused on assets deployed across multiple regions of Iran.
According to the military, Iran had recently moved to restore its detection and air defense capabilities after they were significantly degraded during Operation Roaring Lion. The IDF said the latest attacks dismantled a number of those systems.
The IDF noted that the operation further expands the Israeli Air Force's freedom of action in Iranian airspace and continues efforts to weaken Iran’s defensive capabilities.
