IDF chief opposes move to transfer Oct 7 Hamas terrorists’ cases to military courts
IDF Chief of Staff Eyal Zamir opposes placing legal proceedings for captured Hamas Nukhba militants under the Israel Defense Forces, Kan News reported Wednesday.
The debate follows a Justice Ministry announcement that a special military court would be established to handle the cases through the military prosecution.
Zamir reportedly cautioned that the IDF is already burdened by heavy operational demands, though planning discussions are continuing regarding staffing and implementation should the proposal move forward.
