IDF captures suspects in Jenin during first operation since ‘Home and Garden’
Israel Defense Forces, Border Police and Shin Bet security forces began a new operation in the Jenin refugee camp in the northern West Bank on Monday, the IDF confirmed.
Firefights with armed gunmen erupted as the Israeli forces entered the refugee camp and succeeded in capturing a number of wanted suspects.
Five Palestinians were injured during the fighting, according to Palestinian reports.
This is the first time Israeli forces entered Jenin since the ‘Home and Garden’ operation in the beginning of July, reportedly the largest Israeli military West Bank operation of its kind in two decades.
