IDF cancels weekend leave in Judea & Samaria in preparation for 'extensive counterterrorism ops'
Following a string of Palestinian terror attacks, and amid concern of "imitation attacks" as well as revenge by Israelis, the IDF has raised its level of preparedness across Judea and Samaria, deploying additional troops and canceling weekend leaves.
"Following the terror attack earlier today (Friday) in the area of Tell, IDF soldiers are preparing for extensive counterterrorism operational activity in the sector. Accordingly, soldiers’ leave across the sector has been postponed, and reinforcement of soldiers across the sector has been implemented," the IDF said.
It also said that five additional companies of troops were deployed to Judea and Samaria following the shooting incident this morning.
