IDF calms Israeli public amid fear of Iranian attacks: IDF is monitoring events, no change in guidelines for Home Front
Amid rumors about ostensible preparations for imminent Iranian missile attacks, IDF Spokesman Brig.-Gen. Effie Defrin turned to the Israeli public, emphasizing that the military is prepared for all scenarios.
"I am aware of the reports over the past 24 hours, and especially in recent hours, and I would like to clarify — the IDF is closely monitoring developments," Defrin said.
"In recent days, the Chief of Staff has been conducting ongoing situation assessments. We are maintaining full monitoring and are prepared for any development. The Chief of Staff has instructed that defensive readiness be reinforced across all formations."
"I reiterate my request: rely only on official IDF announcements and refrain from spreading rumors that could cause public concern. At this stage, there is no change to the defensive guidelines. The IDF is prepared and will continue to act responsibly to protect the security of the citizens of the State of Israel."
"I will update if any changes are required," Defrin concluded.
