IDF and Shin Bet announce killing of Rafah Brigade Commander
The IDF and the Shin Bet announced overnight that Hamas' Rafah brigade commander, Nael Abu Obeid, who also served as head of operations in the military wing, was killed in an airstrike.
Abu Obeid was responsible for managing the activities of the Brigade's terrorists, directing them to advance and carry out terror against IDF soldiers and Israeli civilians.
Abu Obeid also worked to rehabilitate the Brigade’s force structure, which was devastated during the IDF capture of Rafah during the war.
He was appointed to this position following the killing of his predecessor, Muhammad Shabana.
