Heightened security in Jerusalem, Judea & Samaria as Ramadan begins
The Muslim month of fasting, Ramadan, began on Wednesday amid an exceptionally heightened security alert.
Security preparations include increased readiness in Jerusalem, reinforcement of the Commando Brigade in Judea and Samaria (the West Bank), and a significant bolstering of forces along the seam line. At the same time, the IDF remains on high alert amid ongoing tensions with Iran and concerns over potential regional escalation.
