Health Ministry orders hospitals underground, prepares patient discharges
Israel’s Health Ministry has instructed hospitals to move operations to protected underground facilities and prepare for the discharge of patients, following a high-level situation assessment and updated Home Front Command directives.
The ministry said hospitals have been ordered to activate emergency procedures, relocate to underground areas, and mobilize the personnel needed for a rapid transition to emergency operations, alongside parallel IDF assistance efforts.
Hospitals were also directed to prepare for the release of patients where possible. Meanwhile, HMO clinics and maternal health centers will continue operating only in locations with protected spaces or immediate access to shelters during alerts.
