Hamas claims responsibility for rockets fired at Dimona
Rocket alarm sirens sounded in the vicinity of the southern Israeli town of Dimona, including in several Bedouin towns on the outskirts of Dimona, including Ar’ara BaNegev, Abu Talul, Mamshit, Abu Qrenat and Qasr al-Sir.
Explosions were heard over the area, according to the Times of Israel. No injuries or damage was reported in the aftermath of the rocket barrage.
Hamas claimed responsibility for the barrage, stating that it was aimed at Dimona.
Israel’s Shimon Peres Negev Nuclear Research Center is located around 15 km (about 9 miles) southeast of the town.
