Government approves Shin Bet role in tackling Arab community crime
The Israeli government has approved a plan authorizing the Shin Bet security agency to take part in efforts to combat violent crime in the Arab community.
As part of the initiative, approximately NIS 500 million will be diverted from the government's multi-year development plan for the Arab community to fund the new measures. The decision marks a significant expansion of the Shin Bet's domestic role in addressing organized crime.
