Government approves 2026 budget after overnight talks; three Likud ministers oppose
The Israeli government has approved the 2026 state budget, with three Likud ministers voting against the proposal. Following overnight negotiations, agreements were reached with the Ministry of Defense, and budgets for education, culture, and national security were completed.
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu welcomed the approval, calling it “a budget of good news for the State of Israel.”
