Gaza tensions continue as hundreds riot at border fence
Hundreds of Palestinians rioted near the border fence in the Gaza Strip on Monday, the IDF stated.
The rioters once again attempted to attack Israeli soldiers by throwing explosive devices at them. The soldiers were not injured and responded by employing riot dispersal measures.
Amid the ongoing tensions at the border, where Palestinians have rioted daily since Friday, the Erez Border crossing into the Gaza Strip will remain closed.
The crossing was planned to close only during the Jewish New Year, which ended on Sunday, and allows Gazan workers to enter Israel.
