Gaza screening site moved to Kerem Shalom after smuggling attempts
Israel's defense establishment has decided to relocate the Regavim screening facility, established to process the return of Gaza residents from Egypt, from the Rafah crossing area to the Kerem Shalom crossing, Kan News reported.
The decision followed repeated smuggling attempts at screening checkpoints set up as part of the mechanism for allowing Gazans to return to the Strip. According to the report, the move is intended to strengthen security checks and prevent further smuggling incidents.
