‘Gaza is ours’: Israeli finance minister calls to dismantle U.S.-run coordination base in southern Israel
Attending the inauguration ceremony of the “Yatziv” settlement in Gush Etzion today, Israeli Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich said that “Hamas must be given a short ultimatum for true disarmament and exile, followed by a full-scale assault on Gaza.”
Smotrich also called for the dismantling of the Kiryat Gat base and the removal of countries he labeled as hostile to Israel, including Egypt and Britain. The base houses the Civil-Military Coordination Center for Gaza, operated by the U.S. military. His remarks came a day after CENTCOM released footage showing Egyptian military personnel at the site.
Smotrich emphasized that Israel is responsible for Gaza, stating that its future “will affect our future more than anyone else’s.”
