6 Israelis wounded in terror attack near Jerusalem, one in critical condition
Three terrorists shot and wounded six Israelis, one of them critically, in a terror attack near Jerusalem on Thursday morning, the Israel Police announced.
Magen David Adom treated six Israeli citizens with gunshot wounds, one in critical condition, two in moderate, and one in good condition. They were evacuated to hospitals in Jerusalem.
In addition, three people were treated for anxiety.
The terrorists arrived at the checkpoint in a car and opened fire at Israelis at the checkpoint before they were neutralized by security personnel, the police said.
The terrorists were armed with two handguns and one M-16 rifle.
They came from the West Bank and carried out the attack near the “Tunnels checkpoint,” a checkpoint on Highway 60 just south of Jerusalem leading to Hebron and the Etzion settlement bloc.
