Israel's Foreign Minister Gideon Sa’ar visits Somaliland for the first time
Foreign Minister Gideon Sa’ar visited Somaliland on Tuesday, according to multiple reports in Somaliland media.
Israel's Foreign Ministry didn't respond to requests for comment from Israeli media.
The reports claim that Sa’ar was meeting President Abdirahman Mohamed Abdullahi in the capital, Hargeisa.
It would be the first official diplomatic visit since Israel recognized Somaliland as an independent state two weeks ago.
