False alarm in the alert system leads to reports of massive invasion from Lebanon
Following reports across news media stating that an invasion of weapons drones and terrorists from Lebanon had begun, the IDF Home Front Command then issued a statement saying there was a malfunction in the alert system.
“Following the reports regarding an infiltration into Israeli air space from Lebanon, as of right now, a suspected infiltration has been ruled out.”
Just minutes before, another error in the alert system had ordered citizens across the country to enter their shelters. The IDF issued a statement calling the alert a “human error.”
“The reports regarding instructions to remain in the shelters across the country are a human error. There is no such instruction. We ask residents to follow the instructions of the Home Front Command and act accordingly.”
