Explosions reported in southern Iran as US confirms large-scale strikes

Explosions were reported near the city of Sirik in southern Iran, while Iranian media said air defense systems were activated on Qeshm Island.
Meanwhile, U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) confirmed it carried out strikes in Iran in response to what it described as Iran's attacks on three commercial vessels transiting the Strait of Hormuz, calling Tehran's actions “an unjustified and dangerous violation of the ceasefire.”
CENTCOM later said the operation struck more than 80 targets, including air defense systems, command-and-control facilities, coastal radar sites, anti-ship missile systems, and more than 60 Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps fast attack boats, with the stated goal of degrading Iran's ability to threaten commercial shipping in the international maritime corridor.
