Ex-spy Jonathan Pollard enters Israeli politics, joins new political party
Convicted spy Jonathan Pollard, who immigrated to Israel in 2020, announced his entry into Israeli politics today (Sunday).
Pollard will be joining the new Israel First political party, started by MK Sharren Haskel, who was formerly part of Gideon Sa’ar’s New Hope party.
“I believe in Sharren. And I believe in Israel,” Pollard said during a joint statement, which was filmed at the Western Wall.
Pollard, a former supporter of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, has become critical of the long-standing premier, saying the current government needs to be replaced.
