EU & 26 countries condemn Iranian executions of protesters

The European Union and Twenty-six nations, including France, the UK and Canada, condemned the ongoing executions of protesters by the Iranian regime, French Foreign Minister Jean-Noel Barrot announced.

In a joint statement, they condemned "in the strongest terms the ongoing executions of protesters and use of the death penalty” by the Islamic Republic.

“The use of capital punishment to silence dissent, intimidate communities, and punish individuals exercising their human rights can never be justified.”

According to a report by the Abdorrahman Boroumand Center for Human Rights in Iran on Tuesday, the regime has carried out at least 916 executions since the start of 2026, including 15 this month alone.
