Egyptian FM: “No alternative to disarming Palestinian factions and establishing a single authority”
Egyptian Foreign Minister Badr Abdelatty told Al Jazeera that regarding “the day after” in Gaza, “there is no alternative but to disarm the Palestinian factions and ensure a single governing authority, to remove any pretext from the Israeli side.”
On the Rafah crossing, he said Egypt is holding talks with Israel and stressed Cairo’s firm position: it will not allow the crossing to become “a gateway for the displacement of Palestinians.”
