Egypt mediating between Saudi Arabia and UAE to prevent escalation
Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi has sought to defuse tensions between Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates, reportedly conveying several Saudi demands — including a proposed meeting in Riyadh between the Emirati president and the Saudi crown prince.
The details were reported by the Lebanese newspaper Al-Akhbar, which said el-Sisi relayed the Saudi requests as part of efforts to curb strains in relations between the two Gulf states.
