Dozens of Israeli settlers torch vehicles in Samaria, two Palestinians injured
Dozens of masked Israelis hurled Molotov cocktails at vehicles near the village of Deir Sharaf on Thursday, setting the cars on fire. Palestinian sources reported two people were injured in the attack.
The IDF said three suspects were arrested and transferred for questioning. According to reports, the two Palestinians were moderately wounded after one tried to flee a burning vehicle and was then assaulted by the rioters. The military said security forces “condemn violence of any kind” and will continue to act to maintain order.
Samaria Regional Council head Yossi Dagan also condemned the incident, calling it the work of “a small, extremist fringe” and urging authorities to bring those responsible to justice.
