DM Katz assures military presence in Gaza border towns won't be reduced
Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz instructed the IDF on Tuesday not to scale back forces stationed in Gaza border towns for the time being, pending further decisions on the matter, in order to safeguard residents' sense of security.
The decision followed a security assessment led by Katz last week and requests from residents of the border communities to strengthen and preserve the sense of security in the area.
