Continued unrest along border with Lebanon, IDF and Hezbollah trade blows

Multiple air raid sirens rang out along Israel’s northern border with Lebanon on Friday as several mortar, anti-tank missiles, and drones were launched toward Israel by Hezbollah militias in southern Lebanon.

In response, Israel struck several Hezbollah sites near Wadi Hamul in southern Lebanon with Israeli Air Force fighter planes and artillery.

Lebanese news site al-Mayadeen reported that an Israeli drone struck a car near Atunah. There were no reports of any casualties following the incident.

Ali Damush, deputy chairman of the organization's executive council, said that Hezbollah had “plunged Israel into a daily war of attrition, uprooted the residents of the border area, and increased the internal dilemma.”

Damush said Hezbollah would not withdraw from southern Lebanon and its operations there until the enemy withdraws from its operations in Gaza.
