CENTCOM continues nightly Iran strikes, touts Strait of Hormuz transit

CENTCOM announced overnight that it completed another round of strikes targeting IRGC infrastructure. The operation is the latest in a series of nightly U.S. strikes that began last week.
Iranian military command centers, maritime capabilities, missile and drone launch sites, and air defense systems were struck, the statement said.
It also underscored that commercial vessels continue to transit through "the vital international maritime corridor," adding that since early May, CENTCOM forces have helped facilitate the transit of roughly 900 commercial vessels and 450 million barrels of crude oil.
The statement came after the IRGC claimed two tankers were hit and caught fire overnight while attempting to transit the Strait of Hormuz.
